The level of alert is now red
We may never go safely to bed
Because the terrorists are watching us
And they may plant a bomb in the bus
They could blow up our homes
They could smash our sacred domes
Our lives are now in perpetual danger
Our lives are certainly going to be stranger
We must now live with more care
With plenty of suspicions to spare
Is that person acting a little weird?
Why does that person wear a beard?
Shall I report my neighbor to a police authority?
Or shall I be accused of being in a terrorist sorority?
Why does she have so much baggage?
What can't I carry in my luggage?
Listen up, people, to make the world a safer place
Body cavity searches are now mandatory in every single case
Undress and put on a bright flourescent jump-suit
Fasten seat-belt, seat-cuffs, and the chain around your boot.
You can't move without permission and supervision
You can't talk or have any kind of group discussion
We'll watch you when you leave
We'll keep a tab on your every pet peeve
Welcome to the paranoia that will never end.
Prepare at every turn to hide, shrink, and bend.
Because, people, we've been led into an unjust war
And we're going to get just as much as we tar.
